Favorite Math topic to teach

My favorite type of lesson to teach is one where the learner discovers the concept by building on previous knowledge and seeing the connections.  Seeing a student put it all together and, and how interrelated math is, is one of my favorite parts about teaching.  Luckily this is not limited to just one topic.

Favorite Non-Math related thing to do

I love to workout and be active in general.  Moving back to California has allowed me to take advantage of the awesome weather.  I love to hike, run, lift weights, and do obstacle courses.
